Keeping online systems secure is an important part of a business continuity plan. Much of what we do in our working life involves an online connection we use to access internal networks as well as external information and online portals. We are consistently looking for information on the web, communicating online through email and instant messaging, and using our online connection for many other business related purposes. Keeping online security measures in tact in these business connections is vital to keeping a business’s information and systems safe and secure.
Keeping online systems secure involves proper planning as well as ongoing network support. Adequate online backup systems must be in place as well as procedures for individual employees to backup up their data. While automated backups are very reliable, employees backing up their own data will help make sure information they change more often than the automated backup intervals will stay fresh for better recovery.
