Part of business continuity is keeping the physical property of a business secure. One way to achieve this is by protecting a business location with a wireless security system. Just like wireless home security systems, wireless systems for businesses allow the flexibility of having security cameras in various locations of a building without having to run extensive and intrusive wire throughout the facility. It also allows security cameras to be discretely placed in places where wire cannot be run internally within walls or ceilings.
Digital media systems allow for the creation of an online backup at a remote location. The wireless camera data can be securely transferred to offsite storage locals. These digital systems also provide clearer video with the ability to zoom into specific frames.
In the past, security camera systems used tapes to store the video they recorded. With digital wireless cameras available, a security system can now record images directly to computer storage media. This eliminates the need for a large number of tapes to record multiple weeks or months of secure images. The wireless system’s data can also be more easily archived and saved for a much longer period of time without needing excessive storage space.
